Connie Berberian at a young age showed a strong talent for drawing, a gift nurtured by her family. Particular support came from an older sister, who, while an art student at Penn State, invited her young sibling to join her in sketching outdoors. As early as age 10, this activity laid the foundation for Berberian’s love of the landscape. When Connie was age 23, her same artist sister introduced her to painting. This was a reawakening of her passion for art.

A registered Medical Technologist at Pittsburgh Medical Center, Connie decided to return to college for three years as a Painting and Design major.

Workshops with internationally known painters have contributed greatly to her growth as a painter. Many of the subjects for her paintings range from still life to nearby countryside in Pennsylvania and New York Finger Lakes region.

“I
visualize the rolling hills with vineyards, small village streets and the seasonal and atmospheric effects on the landscape as possible paintings.  I am fascinated by color and the interplay of light and shadow.  In my works, as seen through my eyes, I am always striving to express to the viewer the visual impact of the beautiful effects of nature
